2023 AFCON Qualifier: Lookman shakes off injury, fit to face Sierra Leone

Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman took part in training on Saturday night erasing fears he could miss Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

Lookman sat out the team’s last two training sessions before the trip to Monrovia due to a minor injury.

The 25-year-old was involved in full training with his teammates at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium ahead of the game.

The former Leicester City player is expected to start the game from the bench.

Head coach Jose Peseiro is expected to opt for Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze on the wings.
