Rivers State : Gunmen reportedly shoot, kidnap Rivers State government house staff, Justice Azunda

Gunmen have reportedly shot the Protocol Officer to the immediate past Chief of Staff to the Rivers State government house, Justice Azunda.
The criminals also took him away to a nearby bush in the area.
Reports emerged that a suspected cultist terrorizing a section of the East-West road, Onuigwe Nwodi and his gang allegedly invaded Isiodu community in Emohua local government area of Rivers State on Sunday afternoon and shot Azunda.
DAILY POST gathered that the criminals responsible for the attack on Sunday were the same gang of cultists the Emohua Local Government Council Chairman, Chidi Lloyd had declared wanted.
A source from the community who confirmed the incident said they were uncertain if Azunda died from the gunshot injury before being dragged away.
Police personnel from the Rumuoji Police Division have already visited Isiodu and some other Emohua communities; however, the Rivers State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on the attack.
In the meantime; the Council Chairman of Emohua local government has increased the bounty placed on the head of Nwodi and his gang to N2,000,000.
The chairman also banned the use of motorcycles in the local government.
