
Rivers State : Fubara raises alarm on activities of social media impostors
Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has warned members of the public to beware of Scammers and impostors who have opened several Facebook and social media accounts (twitter,Instagram etc) with his name and photographs with the purpose of defrauding the people.
Governor Fubara raised alarm about activities of the social media impersonators in a press statement signed by his Senior Special adviser media, Boniface Onyedi, on Sunday.
He also listed the official social media accounts of the governor in the statement.
The statement reads:”Sequel to such unauthorised infiltration, we bring to the notice of the general public that the only approved and authorised official social media handles of the Governor is: Sir Siminalayi Fubara on Facebook, @SimFubaraKSC on twitter and @simfubaraksc on Instagram.
“We hope this will put an end to such several unauthorised and fake social media accounts used to send messages that did not emanate from the governor.
“Hence, we implore Rivers people and the general public to disregard any of those social media handles operated by impostors”.
