EPL: Ferguson called me twice, I should’ve gone – Ex-Chelsea player regrets not joining Man Utd
Former Chelsea player, Emmanuel Petit, has revealed his regrets of not joining Manchester United in the past.
Petti admitted that former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson called him twice to join the Red Devils, but he refused because of advice from his wife and opted to remain at Chelsea.
Speaking with FourFourTwo (via Daily Mail), Petit said: “I should have gone to Manchester United because Sir Alex Ferguson called me twice.
“We had a very good conversation and it was tempting, but once again, I listened to my wife.
“She wanted to go back to London – she didn’t want to live in Manchester – so I made the same mistake twice in one year.”
