Two corps members with extreme height differences became a sensation on social media after they announced their relationship inside the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp.

The lovebirds according to a facebook user, met during their service year in one of the country’s NYSC camps and built a bond. The user added that they were ridiculed by their colleagues but remained unshaken and are now engaged.

“People were making fun of them because of their height differences but it all didn’t mean anything to them and here today they are engaged after their service and set to walk down the aisle.

“Truly Truly!!! Love knows no differences… congratulations to Innocent Ruth. God bless your union.”

In a video shared on Facebook, Innocent Ruth, the now-viral lady, thanked NYSC for favouring her with a man.

Ruth said she met her partner in camp, adding that they became friends and the rest is history.

“We met in NYSC camp ohhhh. So this camp go favour me like this???? We became friends and the rest is history,” she wrote.

“NYSC most tallest and shortest corpers. Congratulations to us.”

In 2019, Shuaibu Ibrahim, the former director-general of NYSC, encouraged inter-tribe marriage among corps members.

”NYSC always encourages marriages among corps members, especially inter-tribe marriage. The headquarters will support any inter-tribe marriage,” he had said.

Shuaibu also attended the wedding ceremony of two corps members in Kaduna in May 2020.
