Destiny Etiko, the Nigerian actress, has refuted claims that she granted an interview where she declared her virginity.
The actress recently became the subject of online discussion over rumours she said she is still a virgin at the age of 33.
The film star was rumoured to have spoken about her virginity during an interview on Sunday.
But in a recent post via Instagram, Etiko said the reports are not “true”.
The movie star added that she did not grant any interview “saying I am a virgin.”
The actress also took a shot at people circulating the rumours.
“Since yesterday, I have not rested with the news calling me out as a virgin. I did not grant any interview, revealing that I am a virgin,” she said.
“I cannot remember granting any interview saying I am a virgin. They did not give me any better title, like soon to be a billionaire.
“There was no written word or an interview about virginity and they are all busy with my precious name, which really shows how important and relevant I am.”
Etiko began her acting career in 2011 and has established herself as a prominent name in the Nigerian movie industry.
She has also received several awards and recognitions.
