UNIBEN: Keggit Chief Shot Dead

A final year student, simply identified as Desmond of the University of Benin {UNIBEN} was on Monday,1 April, 2023, shot dead by suspected cultist in his hostel.
Desmond, also popularly known as ‘Mayor’ is reported to have been a student of the department of public Administration. According to a source who pleaded anonymity, the deceased was shot poin blank on his face.
“The killing of Desmond has caused panic in the school. Students are even afraid to stay in the hostel. He was shot in the face and had no chance to survive the attack.” the student said. It was gathered that his remains has been deposited in the mortuary at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).
